The Chapel Pad.
One bright and frosty morning
O'er the grazings I chanced to stray
To find the cause of the awful noise
Coming from the Chapel Bray
On my hands and knees out of Baldy's trees
I fearlessly did creep
When into view came a motley crew
On the back of an open jeep
It then became apparent
The cause of all the noise
Twas Paddy, Joe and Eugene
And another of the boys
And suddenly it dawned on me
The cause of all their haste
In their sights they had, the Chapel pad
There was no time to waste
Its happened fast, three weeks have past
The Chapel pads completed
The bridges on, the gates been hung
Everyone's elated
hey said it wouldn't happen
That it just could not be done
But there it is, its finished now
The battles fought and won
Through the years, our faithful peers
Along the path did walk
To hear the mass or just to pass
The time in quiet talk
From Labish Well the sound of a bell
Can oft at night be heard
Or is it a breeze ringing down through the trees
Calling the faithful to prayer
